I never really plan on making a particular flower essence. It's more so a conversation between the plants and me with various factors in favour with the astrological weather and that of this planet. But sometimes I'll be walking around the gardens and a flower makes itself known in a serious way. So it was with Comfrey. I've always brought this plant along to various gardens or land I've called home for a time. It is such a gift in herbal first aid with a folk medicine past dating back thousands of years. Often known as Knitbone, Comfrey is amazing for externally treating and healing broken bones, sprains, bruises, bleeding and burns. It also plays a vital role on the homestead in the orchard; as a guild plant at the base of fruit trees. Its deep tap roots grow over 2 metres and utilize minerals and nutrients not present at soil level. It also makes a nutrient dense mulch, compost tea and is a great supplement to chicken food; with up to 35% protein
Comfrey is the great healer. It helps knit us back to a place of wholeness and invites the pieces of us that we've lost, hid or broken off; to return and heal on all levels. Through this lifetime and others, it takes the fragments of deep wounds, trauma, shock or abuse and helps us bridge them to an integrated healing and wholeness. Magically, Comfrey is used as a charm in safe travel and also carries that power in the flower essence; of making us feel safe as we journey through deep healing. Comfrey flower essence is also great in first aid shock situations, root chakra work and aids the nervous system
This essence was made on the day of the full flower Moon in May.
